Masterplan + Winery

This project proposes a masterplan aimed at revitalizing declining rural areas and designs a winery and its accompanying facilities under this plan. The masterplan suggests a 'system' that transforms rural areas, traditionally focused on simple grape production, into service industry cities capable of providing tourism, similar to Bordeaux in France. The project aims to propose architecture that can be integrated into this system to offer actual 'experiences‘. This includes a process of digital analyzing the existing terrain to propose designs that allow views of the vineyards or the river on the opposite side without significantly altering the landscape. In construction, the project references traditional Japanese timber joinery techniques. In terms of architectural sequence, it analyzes and follows the works of Alvaro Siza, while in terms of atmosphere, it draws inspiration from Kuma Kengo.
